Wisdom and knowledge matter
Wisdom and knowledge matter
Living in today's world demands that we are just as aware and vigilant as earlier people, but under new circumstances with more deceptions. While God's Word and World are timeless and unchangeable, societies change and the wiles of the Enemy adapt to every new trend and technology. Decisions, dangers, deceptions, discernment, and death still shape lives and determine outcomes. As the "game" changes, most fail to see the new dangers and ignore how the old rules really are timeless. Scripture may even be misapplied. Wealthy countries are most easily led astray, tranquilized into lethargy, inattentiveness, apathy, immorality, and "self" through comfort, convenience, peace, and prosperity. That, for instance, is what most of technology is all about.
Our ministry focuses attention on the deceptions of physical existence today so that inwardly all peoples can more clearly see the Truth of God and sound relevance of His Word and thus be increasingly challenged in faith, and truly aligning walk, work, and ways. The WalkWiser mission aims to encourage all peoples toward greater faith, Scripture appreciation, and sound application by engaging minds (1), opening eyes (2), stimulating conversation(3), sharpening discernment(4), guiding prayer(5), working obediently(6), and saving lives through Christ(7).
1. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
- Romans 12:2
2. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, - 1Corinthians 12:21-22
Gifts of Grace: For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. - Romans 12: 3-8
3. Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm. - Proverbs 13:20
4. Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed. - 1Corinthians 12:1
5. Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, - Ephesians 6:18
6. WORK+ PRAYER+FAITH: So the wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty-two days. And when all our enemies heard of it, all the nations around us were afraid and fell greatly in their own esteem, for they perceived that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God. - Nehemiah 6:15-16
7. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:18-20
And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. - Luke 10:2 ESV
WISDOM: God said to Solomon, “Because your greatest desire is to help your people, and you did not ask for wealth, riches, fame, or even the death of your enemies or a long life, but rather you asked for wisdom and knowledge to properly govern my people... - 2Chronicles 1:11
FAITH: Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. - Romans 10:9-10
